Update Status on NISP and Glade Reservoir

The Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP) has been in the planning process for over 20 years. Come hear more about the Project and a status update on the NISP by Stephanie Cecil, Senior Project Manager with Northern Water.

The NISP will supply 15 Northern Front Range water providers with 40,000 acre-feet of new, reliable water supplies per year. Northern Water is pursuing permitting, design and construction of the project on behalf of the participants, who will be providing water to nearly half a million residents by 2050. The main project components include two new off-channel reservoirs (Glade Reservoir northwest of Fort Collins, and Galeton Reservoir northeast of Greeley), five pump plants, over 80 miles of pipelines to deliver water for exchange with two irrigation companies and for delivery to participants, and relocation of approximately 7 miles of US Highway 287. With the federal permit and Record of Decision received in late 2022, work on NISP continues to move forward.

Presenter:  Stephanie Cecil

Stephanie is a Project Manager for Northern Water, helping to manage and implement complex water projects, including the Northern Integrated Supply Project. She is a professional engineer and project management professional with over 12 years of experience in water resources projects including large diameter pipelines, pump stations and other hydraulic structures.
