Understanding Your Financial Reports for Small Business Fall 2019

Understanding Your Financial Reports:

Most business owners know they need a set of books to be able to file tax returns but may not appreciate how this financial information can be used to run their business. This seminar will help you gain a basic understanding of how to use financial reports to run your business and file tax returns. Just as a CPR class teaches you how to perform the basics of cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, this seminar will explain how to read and use basic Quickbooks reports: Profit and Loss (“P&L”), Balance Sheet, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Earnings Summary and Transaction reports. It will not train you to be an accountant (just as a CPR course will not make you a cardiac doctor), but it should give you the confidence to be able to understand and use information from your books to effectively run your business and, of course, file tax returns.
