“By Sharing Their Stories, Women Make Their Communities Stronger”

Abuse, addiction, murder, depression, fighting for freedom… The early parts of my story are hard to tell, and presumably difficult to hear.
On September 12, 2000 my father used a stolen key he had replicated one month prior, and entered our apartment. Where he hid, waiting. Inside the bathroom and with no chance to escape after entry, he attacked and broke every bone in her face. He then strangled her to death. He “finished the job” by leaving his wedding necktie around her neck. He was given a life sentence of second degree murder and has currently received full parole 16 years later. I share my truth, my pain, my strength and the one thing no one can ever take from me, my HOPE. By choosing love, I have created a beautiful life. I have endured extreme complex post traumatic stress from 6 years of Parole Hearings and fighting for my freedom and rights to safety and protection. My journey will continue to be a path of healing. I share my story to inspire others that love endures all things. We all have a superhero cape that gives us strength. Turned around, it is a blanket to comfort. Encompassing HOPE, my purpose evolved. Choosing love is step one, living through love makes me whole. When I am on purpose, I make the world a better place with my light and connection empowering others to as well.

How did I get here?
We walk through life with an idea in our minds of where we should be. Yet most of us wake up at some point wondering "how the heck did I get here?" We don't recognize ourselves or where we ended up. What if I told you that there was a way to rewire your brain and change all those ideas and rules? What if I told you that it was actually quite easy to do? With humor and actual strategies I will guide you through the start of this change, and will show you how worth it you are at the same time.
