WOMEN TALK is an evening gathering where women present and share their inspiring stories, thoughts, ideas and experiences. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn and you’ll be entertained by amazing WOMEN TALKers! The evening will be fast-paced with each presenter speaking for 15-20 minutes, TED TALK style. We are ordinary women, sharing extraordinary stories! Everyone's uniqueness is celebrated. It is a beautiful harmonious place where you can feel the unconditional love of the Divine Feminine.

Our Women Talk Monthly Events consist of:

~ Be Prepared - Not Scared

Lorna Selig, President and Principal owner of Safe4Life, will bring a fact filled presentation. Always entertaining, Lorna will bring her research and tips to you. You will leave with a renewed sense of confidence, and numerous insights into how to keep you, your family, and your children Safe 4 Life. Lorna has been part of the Calgary Family and Community Social Services sector for many years. Her passion for physical and emotional safety and wellness in children, teens and adults is realized in her Personal Safety Training Company. Lorna says, ‘we need to start thinking about self defense and personal protection in much the same way as we think of wearing a seat belt to protect ourselves while driving; we need to have a Personal Safety Plan to protect ourselves while living’. We teach you the skills we hope you never need to use!

Kiersten Mohr
~ Living with Unguarded Authenticity

Kiersten Mohr is a professional Geologist with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry. In early 2017, Kiersten boldly navigated gender transition in her professional and personal life. She has been inspired and emboldened by the positive experience of her transition and hopes that her visibility and voice can help promote positive public awareness as well as understanding and inclusion of transgender and gender diverse individuals. Kiersten is a proud and passionate board member of the Skipping Stone Foundation which aims to rewrite the narratives of today’s gender diverse youth by recognizing and celebrating the strengths and uniqueness found within their diversity. Additionally, Kiersten sits on her community Airdrie Pride Board which is focused on providing an accepting and safe place for anyone in the LGBT2+ community. Kiersten shares her life with her loving partner and two beautiful children who have been with her every step of the way.
