A couple of notes on Registration:

  • If you work at a large employer or State Agency, contact your Employee Transportation Coordinator to see if there is a team forming at your workplace. If so, you may be able register through them. If not, read on...
  •  To form your own team, simply choose a team name and a team contact person ("Team Captain") and enter them in the spaces provided on the registration page.

Once you have registered, look for your Mileage Log, Reflective Sticker and Bike Shop Coupons to arrive in the mail. Allow up to a week for delivery.

Intercity Transit’s Bicycle Commuter Contest (BCC) is a fun, engaging community event that encourages Thurston County residents of all ages and abilities to try bicycling as a means of transportation and gives rewards and recognition to those who do. Anyone who lives or works in Thurston County can participate. The BCC began in 1988 as a challenge between a few workplaces in Olympia with 30 people participating. Since then, the event has “grown up” along with its level of participation. In 2006 Intercity Transit began hosting the event and it has now become one of Intercity Transit’s many programs for improving mobility and the quality of life in our community.  2012 marks the 25th BCC! Thanks for your participation.
