Accounting for their Futures

This workshop is designed for high school CTE teachers who need tips for integrating accounting principles and personal finance.

Teachers will have an opportunity to explore strategies that teach basic accounting skills that can be applied in a professional or personal setting. Additionally, NCCEE will highlight a resource that can be shared with students that outlines the jobs outlook for NC by region including demand, salary expectation and level of education required. Last, you will learn about a program from Appalachian State University that provides scholarships for first generation students that guarantees job placement upon graduation. This session is all about a secure future for your students.

A $125 stipend or substitute pay reimbursement will be provided for teachers who attend the entire session. The session will be very interactive. Please come prepared to participate and have fun!

There is no cost to attend but space is limited.
