Northern Rockies Chapter of IFMA Conference in Helena, MT, September 12th-13th
Getting the Most of Your Buildings
Through Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency is always an energizing topic (pun intended…) in today’s built environment. In fact, of the surveys we have conducted, the topic of energy efficiency ranks the highest.
As many of you know, utilities are typically the third largest expense for most organizations. We, as facility managers, have a direct impact on the energy usage within our buildings. Our diligent efforts can have a significant impact on the bottom of line of our respective organizations and the perceived value of our facility programs.
Some of you may feel that your buildings and facility program are already efficient – and they may be; in such case, please come to share your knowledge and wisdom. However, there is much more to reducing utility costs than upgrading lights and installing VFDs – there is always room for improvement; such as, the design of our systems, equipment procured, project management processes, effectiveness of maintenance program, capital renewal strategy, and occupant behaviors (including ourselves…).
So join us as we hear from local and regional experts on how to get the most out of your existing assets and how to plan for improvement. Our vendor expo will display the latest technologies and services that can assist you in reducing utility costs. Come share and learn with each other as we tackle this topic together!
VENDORS/SERVICE PROVIDERS - Space is limited and interest is high! So reserve your spot now. We are also looking for sponsors; as such, you get special recognition and an opportunity to present at the conference.
IF YOU CAN'T MAKE BOTH DAYS, DRIVE IN FOR THE DAY - Helena is less than two hours from most Montana cities. We are purposely starting a little later on Thursday, so those in nearby cities can drive-in that morning and be home for a late dinner, if they can't stay the night or take two days for the conference.
I would like to see folks a variety industries represented, including K12, Higher Education, Manufacturing, Commercial, Municipality, Healthcare, etc. So invite your fellow facility colleagues and spread the word!
Agenda consists of:
***NOTE - We also be hosting IFMA's FMP Leadership & Strategy Essentials Course on the prior days (10th-11th). Click here to learn more about the Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential and the course.
