Hello Fellow Finance Officers!

It is time to register for the Fall 2015 FSFOA Conference!  A preliminary agenda is available on the FSFOA website.  Your directors and officers are busy confirming speakers to provide you with useful updates and informative sessions.  Please note that there are two registration processes; one for the conference attendees and one for guests.  The separate guest registration process allows you to pay for your guests with a personal credit card.  All attendees and guests must complete the online registration (there will be no paper registration form for this conference) and pay their registration no later than October 19, 2015 to avoid a $50 late fee.  Registration costs are as follows:

The registration process has been expanded to include an indication of which mini-sessions you plan to attend. This will allow us to ensure there is adequate seating for each session. The most recent version of the agenda is available online at:

Your Officers and Directors have done another outstanding job in putting together the program for this conference.  Tuesday morning begins with a GASB update.  There are three tracks on Tuesday afternoon: Accounting, Budgeting and Technology.  DOE will give their update on Wednesday morning with GASB, Finance, and Charter School tracks in the afternoon.  Thursday morning will feature a Legislative Update with a Debt/Investment track in the afternoon.  We will conclude the conference on Friday with an update from the Auditor General’s staff.

Once again, Gretchen Saunders and Michael Yanosik have done an outstanding job getting support from our sponsors.  Without our sponsors, we could not provide the conferences in the manner we are accustomed to.

Registration fees have not changed for this conference. The standard room rate is $104 with an additional $8 per night for self-parking.  For those driving in each day, the parking fee is $5.00.  You may also make reservations for three days prior and three days after the conference at the conference rate.  When you call 800-624-4109 (direct to the hotel) for reservations, mention that you are with the Florida School  Finance Officers Association for our rates.  The deadline for hotel reservations and registration is October 19.
