Second Friday of the month for eight months (October thru May).
Friday October 10, 2014 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM CDT
Each session we will meet in a different location to learn new skills and have fun participating in seven months of seasonal and community activities! The first session will be for getting acquainted and planning the monthly activities and will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the Autism Society office in Wauwatosa. After that, the group will meet on the second Friday of each of the next seven consecutive months at the locations selected for the group activities. Some possible activities might include attending a sporting event, bowling, having a game night, or other events suggested by participants.
Parents will be responsible for transportation.
Each session will include a friendship or team-building objective as well as a "homework" assignment to practice skills we are working on while having fun.
Course size limited to 10. This course is targeted at individuals who are willing to try new things, want to participate in group activities, and will stay with the group.
Cost: $300/member or $350/nonmember for the 8-session course. The fee includes admittance to all activities however extra spending money for snacks, beverages or incidentals is the responsibility of the participant.
