What is T.R.A.I.L.S.?

Do you have a teen with a developmental disability?
Do you have solid plans for your child when he/she becomes an adult? TRAILS will assist you in blazing a trail tailored for your teen's adulthood. For parent/guardian/caregivers of a child with autism, Asperger Syndrome, and other developmental disabilities, age 14-21. Don't wait until your child is an adult to start planning!
2015 TRAILS dates: January 15, February 5, March 19, April 16th, and May 7th.
SESSION 1 Introduction to adult services: Transition Overview
SESSION 2 Decisions you can make today that will create adult opportunities for young people on the spectrum.
SESSION 3 Understanding the Transition IEP
SESSION 4 Guardianship and Special Needs Trusts to safeguard the future
SESSION 5 Person-Centered Planning for students with Autism

Maureen Keys, Ph.D. will facilitate this fifth session. She will talk about person-centered planning for students with autism.
This second session will be held on Thursday, May 7th, 2015 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the New Berlin Public Library. Cost for the first participant is $15 per session for members, $20 per session for non-members. Each participant may bring a spouse, partner, or family member for an additional $5.
