MacTrump - Book Launch Party 10/3

Celebrate the release of MacTrump with authors Ian Doescher and Jacopo della Quercia. For readers craving a humorous antidote to the sound and the fury of American politics, this clever satire, written in iambic pentameter in the style of Shakespeare, wittily fictionalizes the events of the first two years of the Trump administration.

On Thursday, October 3, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., authors Ian Doescher and Jacopo della Quercia will celebrate the publication of MacTrump: A Shakespearean Tragicomedy of the Trump Administration, Part I (Quirk Books, October 1, 2019) at the National Register-listed University Club of Albany, 141 Washington Avenue.

For readers craving a humorous antidote to the sound and the fury of American politics, this clever satire, written in iambic pentameter in the style of Shakespeare, wittily fictionalizes the events of the first two years of the Trump administration.

The event benefits the University Club of Albany Foundation, a 501c3 corporation, and the suggested donation is $5. The evening begins with a networking reception with light fare and cash bar at 5:30 p.m. followed by a talk at 6:00 p.m. with time for a question and answer period. Books will be available for sale and signing, courtesy of The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza.

Ian is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He is currently the Director of Creative Services at Pivot, a marketing agency in Portland.

Jacopo Della Quercia is the pseudonym of Albany resident and former Obama staffer Giacomo Calabria. His previous books include License to Quill (St. Martin’s Griffin, 2015) and The Great Abraham Lincoln Pocket Watch Conspiracy (St. Martin’s Griffin, 2014).
