Big Read & Big Art: An Alphapointe Sunrise Volunteer Opportunity

Join Alphapointe and representatives from Kansas City Public Library for an activity-focused take on KCPL’s Big Read 2022 focusing on U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo and her book, “An American Sunrise.” In this program for people of all ages, we’ll discuss Harjo’s award-winning poetry in conjunction with a low-vision friendly communal art activity led by Kansas City Art Institute artist/student Lily Dickson. Light refreshments and all art supplies will be provided.
