Dispelling the Myths About Non-Profit Organizations 

Are you confused about the alphabet soup and sea of regulations surrounding non-profits?  Are you unsure about how to become a non-profit with 501c3, 501c4 or 501c6 status, or why you should choose one instead of the other?  This workshop will help you decide if your passion to get involved in an issue can be transformed into a non-profit that will contribute to the greater good of society while also paying you a salary for your services.  You will also learn the proper role of non-profit Board members – which is a very important (and usually overlooked) piece of management.  It’s not complicated, but it is precise and can be daunting.  Learn the tips to achieve your mission from an expert who has done it.

Penny Pompei is an experienced non-profit executive having served as CEO in a dozen different organizations, including the National Women’s Business Center in Washington, DC.   She is also a serial entrepreneur and has founded several non-profit organizations as subsidiaries of her for-profit organizations.  Penny is a SCORE certified mentor and is CEO of Pompei International, Inc., a small business consultancy.
