One of the things that small business owners often don’t spend time on is how their business will help them be able to retire one day. And too often, owners find that they are unable to retire at any age. This workshop will discuss options and possibilities for a small business owner to consider when developing a path to retirement.
This workshop will cover retirement obstacles and cash accumulation. Three options will be discussed in regards to paying income taxes and how each impacts retirement:
Sean H. Adams, CPA, offers a unique blend of public and industry knowledge in the field of Banking and Accounting. He is a former New York State Bank Regulator who has examined small to large complex financial institutions (depository and non-depository), an auditor in the Certified Public Accounting Industry, and an instructor of accounting and trainer.
As a Bank Examiner, Sean prepared and pre-planned field examinations, conducted regulatory audit and assigned regulatory ratings for banking institutions. While in industry, Sean was employed with Grant Thornton LLP as an Assurance Senior Auditor and Merck and Co Inc. as an Internal Risk Analyst/Senior Auditor.
As a business owner Sean has performed compilations, reviews, audits, write-ups, and variance analyses and payroll services for clients. He has organized and established legal entities for clients, prepared long-term forecasts, and implemented operating procedures.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from York College, City University of New York (CUNY), and maintains active membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
