The Entrepreneurial “Pivot” has become a foundational aspect of entrepreneurship in that dynamic market opportunities require ongoing reassessment. The higher the frequency of the reassessment, the better chance entrepreneurs have in utilizing their industry competencies successfully, and fully monetizing their ideas. Opportunities start with ideas. However, questions must be regularly asked regarding the durability, timeliness, attractiveness, and value added that these ideas bring to their targeted market segments. Determining if, when, and how to entrepreneurially "pivot" your business strategy has saved many well-known highly-successful companies, such as Groupon, Starbucks, Instagram, and Pinterest among many others.
