Portland Advanced Lactation Update and IBLCE Exam Review
Professional Education in Breastfeeding and Lactation
This two-day update and half day exam review program will update your research-based practice and help you prepare for the IBLCE exam.
The first two days provide a review of the IBLCE exam blueprint and the research to support this. The half-day covers test-taking strategies, photos and practice exams. The half-day can be taken alone if you have completed a Foundations for Best Practice in Lactation Care 5-day course in the 6 months preceding the course starting date.
You should take this course if you:
- Want to prepare to recertify for the IBLCE exam
- Need to recertify because you have let your IBCLC “lapse”
- Want to prepare to take the IBLCE exam for the first time
- Have recently completed a 3-6 day breastfeeding program before 2011 and want to update your knowledge. If the 3-6 day program was in 2011 you may still take the June 1 exam review.
- Are an IBCLC and want to earn CERPs while updating your knowledge
This course is designed for you if you meet ONE or more of the following criteria:
- Have attended a comprehensive 3-6 day program in breastfeeding education
- Have strong clinical skills in assisting breastfeeding families
- Are licensed/certified as a healthcare professional and have strong clinical skills in assisting breastfeeding families
- Have met the IBLCE exam eligibility requirements
