Bill Stokes
Chairman, Washington Network Group
Born in Washington, D.C., Bill Stokes started his professional career working in think tanks, which led him into international consulting, executive recruiting and coaching. Not coincidentally, he founded and leads the Washington Network Group (WNG), which is a membership organization of senior-level professionals dedicated to shameless networking for professional purposes.
Bill has worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS), the National Council for International Trade Development (NCITD), and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. He has served on numerous boards, including the George C. Marshall International Center and the World Affairs Council of Washington, D.C. Bill is associated with Bernuth & Williamson where he works with nonprofit leaders, and he trained as an executive coach with Next Level Leadership Development.
Bill pursued graduate studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, and undergraduate studies at the College of William & Mary in Virginia, and attended Phillips Exeter Academy. Additionally, he coaches youth lacrosse to maintain perspective on life and pay it forward (and the team is undefeated...).
