Implementing the Feedback Process as Professional Learning, Virtually and In-Person 

Educational leaders engage in feedback as a way of closing gaps in performance.  It is a process where educators gain information to guide future actions.  At this point in education, we must extend our feedback process to include virtual feedback.  These four professional learning sessions will focus on the work of Joellen Killion and the research she has compiled in her book, "The Feedback Process". Join Joellen Killion as she guides us through using the feedback process for growth, learning and change and how to utilize feedback traditionally and also in the virtual world.

Presenter:  

Joellen Killion is a senior advisor to Learning Forward and served for many years as the national association's deputy executive director.  As senior advisor, she leads initiatives related to the link between professional development and student learning.  She is the author of this year's book:  The Feedback Process:  Transforming Feedback for Professional Learning, Second Edition.

Sessions:

Friday, September 11, 2020 - 9:00-10:35.  Understanding feedback vs feedback for learning

Friday, October 2, 2020 - 9:00-10:35:  Analyzing types of feedback and the usage for each

Friday, November 6, 2020 - 9:00-10:35. Applying the feedback processes

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 - 9:00-10:35.  Generating ways to use the feedback process 

(During the sessions, be prepared to share your current feedback process/instructions/forms for comparison purposes.)

Book Included in Registration Fee:  Participants registering by Friday, August 21 will receive a free copy of  The Feedback Process: Transforming Feedback for Professional Learning, Second Edition  by Joellen Killion.  Books are included in the registration fee and will be shipped directly to participants after August 21st.

Recertification Credits:  SEMI and CEU credits will be offered.  Participants must attend all FOUR sessions and complete required activities in order to receive credit.

Payment:  

 Registration fee for all four sessions is $55 and includes the book.
