About Kristi
Kristi graduated with a BFA (painting & drawing emphasis) from the University of Utah & was especially influenced by Diana Gardner, Paul Davis, Dave Dornan, Doug Snow and George Dibble. While attending the university, Kristi acquired several pieces from professors by trading student work. She was also selected on scholarship to attend Ed Maryon's Monterey Bay watercolor workshop. She was recently a featured artist in the February 2014 Watercolor Artist magazine . The article was entitled "Lessons of a Lifetime" by Louise B. Hafesh. Another article including Kristi and other U.S. watercolor landscape painters will be featured in the November 2015 issue of Watercolor Artist. Kristi has won more awards than it is possible to mention here. Included are Best of Show in the Utah Watercolor Society Members and Small Works Exhibitions, as well as an award in 2014 Transparent Watercolor Society of America Exhibition.
