The 2014 U S Naval Academy Safety at Sea Seminar, to be held on March 29 and 30, 2014, will focus on offshore as well as inshore safety issues, with programs for cruising and racing sailors. The live on the water demonstrations and man overboard rescues are unmatched in this country. The Safety at Sea Seminar in Annapolis is in its 34th year and will be held in Alumni Hall at the Naval Academy.
The course offers the following options and certification:Topics for the seminar will include: Medical, Weather, Damage Control and Boat Preparation on the first day. The second day will be the ISAF Racing Certification Course or the Cruising Seminar both featuring ‘Interactive’ in depth discussions with presenters, a detailed weather seminar from NOAA forecasters or ‘Practical’ live, hands on participation, in the pool, life raft boarding demonstration and safety equipment care and maintenance.
