Customer Service is essential for building your utility's reputation. Learn the essential skills to serve the diverse public in these divisive times. Completing the training course will prepare your call center and field customer service representatives for common situations and how to handle challenging calls.

Topics covered include: how to read and communicate water quality reports, distribution and treatment fundamentals, basic information to manage a water system,  and how these informational items are related to customer service.

CEU's will be awarded to water and wastewater professionals who complete the full two-day training. CEU award amounts are pending review by oversight agencies.

Oregon/Washington/Idaho:

  • Customer Service Certificate (1.5 CEUs for Washington and 1.4 CEUs for Oregon)

Lunch and workbooks will be provided each day of training

These courses are most effective when there is a good mixture of office and field personnel. We also require that there be representatives from at least 3 different organizations. This ensures that all of the participants interact with a diverse group and receive the most benefit from the classes.

Upon completion of the three course series, participants will receive a Customer Service Certificate from AWWA. Volunteer trainers come from the pool of staff who have completed this training program.
