Global Business Online for Entrepreneurs

*This will be a live online workshop via Zoom*

With nearly 96 percent of consumers living and the fastest growing economies happening outside the U.S, plus two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power residing in foreign countries, attractive opportunities await U.S. small business in global business - through the readily available use of the internet!

Overcome Pandemic difficulties and go online to where these foreign customers are without moving your existing business operations. There is a significant opportunity for small businesses to profit from importing and exporting operations using online technology.

Do you have what it takes to become a successful international business? Are you ready to make or significantly increase international sales?  Importing / Exporting offers great opportunities but requires preparation and planning, including the efficient use of online technology resources.

This workshop will help you gain the knowledge to develop and implement a global business plan or to even significantly expand your existing international sales using readily available internet tools.

Through this workshop, you will become well acquainted with the following key components of effective small business operations in global markets, including:

  • Use of the internet to easily reach and then sell to international customers or buy from international vendors
  • How to get export trade financing through the SBA, including through online applications
  • The three common characteristics of successful small businesses which grow their international sales through the internet and otherwise
  • Overview of the U.S. legal requirements governing importing and exporting, including the use of online services to comply with them
  • The use of bank letters of credit available through online technology to ensure that you are paid by new unknown foreign customers
  • How to safely transact in a foreign currency online or otherwise without the risk of exchange rate loss
  • Three ways of entering foreign markets and much more
