Do you have fibromyalgia or does fibromyalgia have you?

Does a loved one have fibromyalgia?

Are you having a tough time understanding and managing the illness?

Please join the Fibromyalgia Association of Michigan on Saturday, May 10, at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital’s Webber Cancer Center Auditorium. Dr. Hal Blatman MD, Founder of the Blatman Health & Wellness Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, Past President of the American Holistic Medical Association, and an internationally recognized expert on treating myofascial pain will explain what fibromyalgia is and how to manage the illness. He will share new information about fibromyalgia including why the things you have been doing have not worked better. You will learn the impact your diet has on your pain and fatigue.

Two patients and a spouse will share their journey with fibromyalgia and how they are tackling this invisible intruder.

Conference sponsor Whole Foods will supply healthy snacks and share how they can provide support to you after the conference.

You and your family are not alone - we can help! Since 2001 the Fibromyalgia Association of Michigan has celebrated “Michigan Fibromyalgia Awareness Day” to continue to grow fibromyalgia awareness in Michigan and help people learn how to live better with fibromyalgia. The Association formed out of the Fibromyalgia Support & Education Group at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital that was founded in 1997. Please attend and spread the word about this informative event.

Are you a healthcare provider? Dr. Blatman's talk has been given for CME credits at various international conferences. This event is not for CME credit but if you would like to learn new ways to help your patients, this event is for you.

Registration is strongly encouraged. Early Bird Registration is $10 and ends May 4. After May 4 registration is $15.
