Introduction to Zen workshop

Beginning and deepening a meditation practice,

Kitchener, Ontario

Zen is a broad and inclusive path that enriches all faiths and ways of life.

Zen meditation is meant to change your life; it is like an underground river which runs unseen but nourishes everything above it. Zen koans are a creative and subtle way to take away any confusion and conflict in the mind and open new possibilities for action.

This workshop is an exploration of a way to live in freedom and joy, no matter what the circumstances of your life. This is the path of Zen, and this workshop is a gateway to discovering this for yourself.

During this workshop there will be meditation, koans, art, dharma talks, discussion and the warmth of community.

This workshop is led by Roshi Guy Gaudry. Guy is an authentic Zen teacher and successful entrepreneur with an MBA from the Ivey Business School. After successfully training in Zen in the classical manner for 20 years Guy went on to study koans in a more expansive and integrative way, after which he received he received Dharma Transmission in the Zen lineage.

Guy is the director of the London Zen Centre and teaches leadership development for professionals and business leaders.

Using meditation, koans, conversation and a deep intimacy, Guy creates a modern, no nonsense, way to step into a more open and deeper way of experiencing your life.

No experience is required and the retreat is open to everyone.

8am-12pm: dharma talks, meditation, koans, discussion.

Cost: $195

* Note: scholarships available to those who can't afford the full cost of the retreat, send a note to info@londonzencentre.org.
