Community Engagement and Advocating for Public Policy

Presented By:

Bernie Mazyck, SCACED

Join us for this training on community engagement and effectively advocating for public policy using grassroots networks.  Community-based non-profits like CDCs and CDFIs can have a significant impact on public policy at the local, state, and national levels and be powerful voices for policies that directly benefit underserved communities.  This training will include discussion of effective strategies for citizen engagement, direct and indirect advocacy efforts, and best practice examples from two statewide practitioners.
