WORKSHOP #2: NATIVE TREE LEAF ID

The Extension Forestry Program at UConn announces a year-long series of workshops for woodland owners and nature lovers. Welcome to Workshop #2: How to identify the most common native tree leaves. What could be more fun than going for a walk in the woods on a spring day looking for tree leaves? Well, we can't think of anything. During class, we'll explore leaf structure, leaf arrangement along a branch, and the main types of leaf shapes and margins. Leaf samples will be handed out during class for a closer look. Then, it's into the field in search of the most common tree species. Please join us.
