Join Legacy & the UAB Solar House & Sustainable Neighborhood for an Earth Month workshop! We will be discussing Bats, Bees, & Butterflies and their importance to our world.
"The Solar House and Sustainable Community is project of UAB Sustainability and demonstrates sustainable living in all aspects. The house is powered by the sun and is “islanded,” which means it is not tied to the city’s electrical grid. We use this site to showcase green building design; rainwater collection technology; pollinator, habitat, and produce gardens; and examples of zero-waste practices, like composting and recycling."
In addition to the scheduled activities, participants enjoy networking with other educators. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting and educational environmental workshop.
Teachers receive valuable classroom resources and activities, as well as 6 hours of CEUs for attending. The workshop fee covers lunch and some workshop materials.
