Bolt Action 2016 01

The event will be restricted to 1000 point upto 2 Platoons using the generic platoon selectors only (no theater selectors) from the Army books with no vehicle flame throwers and a limit of a single infantry flame-thrower. There is 18 dice restriction on number of order dice, you can however take more units if required, however only a maximum of 18 orders maybe be given each turn.  

Games:3 games total will be allowed 2 hours followed by a 30 break/next game set up

•Game 1 (9:30AM-11:30AM)

•Game 2 (12:00PM-2:00PM)

•Game 3 (2:30PM-4:30PM)

Award Ceremony 5:00PM

Rules :We are using Rules as written from the main rule book with a few exceptions:

  1. Armored Transports can fire the main weapons system without a unit on board.
  2. Recce units that are down cannot use the escape move.
  3. Units in Ambush can fire at a Recce vehicle executing an escape move.
  4. Reaction fire can take place anywhere over 6" away (no close range bonus).
  5. 0-1 Recce unit per list
  6. 0-2 Cavalry units per list 
  7. The LMG provided a strong base of fire for the majority of infantry formations during the war. Cost 5 points in infantry squads. 
  8. HE for heavy AT guns HE is increased to 1D6. HE for super heavy AT guns is increased to 2D6. 
  9. The primary role of infantry MMGs was to lay down a wall of fire to prevent the enemy from moving or attacking. All infantry MMGs increase their ROF to 6; German MMGs are 7 with Hitler’s Buzz Saw

What to Bring:

  1. A good Attitude!
  2. Order dice are mandatory (suggest two sets if available), tape measure, pin markers, and abunch of D6.
  3. An Army! (All miniatures must be WYSIWYG and have at least a basic paint job).
  4. A rule book and any errata or FAQ you may think is relevant 
  5. Two hard copies of your army list.

Missions:

Standard rule book missions will be randomly determined once all participants have registeredand submitted a list. Top secret will be excluded and the same mission will not be played twice.

Point Totals -

  • Points will be awarded as follows:
  • 5 points for scenario victory
  • 3 Points for scenario draw
  • 1 Point for a scenario defeat
  • Up to 3 Bonus Kill Points per game. 

Tournament Organiser is the final judge for any issues involving interpretation of rules.
