SCORE Workshop - How Do I Develop a Financial Forecast?

You are invited to a FREE Workshop - "How Do I develop a  Financial Forecast?",

Summary/ What You Will Learn:

Developing a month-by-month financial forecast can be the most difficult part of a business plan. However, it can also be the most critical part of your plan. Without it, you can't know if your plan makes financial sense or how long it will be before you reach breakeven. If you want to borrow money, lenders will demand it. This workshop will show you how to estimate monthly sales and what expenses you need to include in your forecast, using a free SCORE forecasting spreadsheet to automate the process.

This workshop will cover the following topics:
  • How to estimate monthly sales
  • What expense categories need to be in your forecast
  • Using an Excel spreadsheet to calculate estimated cash flows
  • The key metrics to look for in your forecast
  • How to use your forecast after you open your business
Our Presenter is Bill Pray:
In 1984, Mr. Pray was elected President of Barnett Brass and Copper Inc. in Jacksonville Fl, which at that time was a regional supplier of plumbing products to contractors. The revenues at the time were $25 million with approximately 50 employees. By 1996, after opening 36 Distribution centers, increasing product listing to include hardware and electrical products, and developing a telesales and outside sales force, the company under Mr. Pray's leadership was able to increase it's sales revenue to $300 million with approximately 1,500 employees. That same year, the company did an initial public offering and went public. In 2000 the company was sold to Interline Brands.  Mr. Pray stayed on with the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer until his retirement in 2007.

Bill Pray's business specialties are Leadership, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain management, Product Branding and Import purchasing.
