Red Tent 2018
Our pride and joy event! Our annual red tent ~ birth stories under the stars!
Communities around the world have been organizing Red Tents as a special place for mothers to share their pregnancy and birth stories, celebrate birth experiences, and heal from traumatic ones. The goal of every Red Tent is to create sisterhood, record our stories, and practice deep listening.
Please, nursing (or bottle fed) not mobile-yet infants only.
Bring cushions and/or pillows to make yourself a cozy nest on the floor.
We are structuring this year's Red Tent a little different than years past. We are sectioning off two time frames for the birth stories. Session 1 will be from 12:00-3:00. We will have a break from 3:00-4:00 that will include a raffle, henna and potentially chair massage. Session 2 will be from 4:00 - 7:00.
**You are welcome to stay for both sessions or just one.
*You do not have to share your birth story to attend. Nor do birth stories need to be recent. Listening ears and hearts are always welcomed❤️
Light refreshments will be provided by SDBN.
