About the Presenter: Jane Robinson, LMHC, RPT-S, Infant Mental Health Specialist

Jane Robinson, LMHC, RPT-S founded the Center for Child Counseling in 1999 and although she retired in May 2013, she continues to work as a consultant and volunteers as a trainer, supervisor, and provides Play Therapy for young children in childcare centers and shelters throughout the community. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Infant Mental Health Specialist, Jane has been a strong advocate for young children in our community for the past twenty years. She has presented numerous workshops at professional, local, state, and national conferences. Jane created a manual, “Managing Feelings and Behaviors in the Classroom and at Home,” used by the Center for Child Counseling as a guide and reference for teachers and parents of young children (click here to purchase). Jane co-authored a chapter in “Play Therapy Techniques with Very Young At-Risk Children in Child Care Settings” published in the book Play Therapy with Very Young Children, edited by Dr. Charles Shaefer.

Jane narrates this foundational course, which she has presented live to students and professionals over the past four years through a grant from the Quantum Foundation. The course has been moved to an online format to provide access for a wide array of professionals interested in working effectively with young children through play.
