Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division Training: Working with Challenging Families 

Content: This workshop is designed to incorporate the skills necessary to build better relationships with families who may be resistant or hesitant to services. Training will focus on assessing client strengths, reviewing various behavioral theories, approaches and techniques, and identifying strategies for addressing conflict in relationships.

Instructor: Jessica De Silva, MSCP, NCC. Jessica has extensive experience in the Human Service field. She currently works as a therapist for an evidenced-based treatment program. She is also the Area Chair for Bachelors of Science in Human Service-Field Experience and facilitator for a private college.

Target Audience: Pertinent to all working or interest in working in the substance abuse prevention and treament, and mental health fields.
