The Buddha's Path to Freedom

A Contemplation of the Buddha's Teaching on the Four Noble Truths

A One-day Online Retreat
with
Brock Brown

On this day we will reflect on the first teaching which the Buddha gave following his enlightenment, also called "Turning the Wheel of Truth". The retreat will be held online using the Zoom platform. There will be chanting, guided meditations, and periods for silent sitting meditation, walking meditation or mindful household activities. Brock will give a dharma talk in the afternoon. This daylong is suitable for beginner or experienced meditators.

Brock Brown is a founding member and Chair of the Victoria Insight Meditation Society where he teaches and leads meditation retreats. He has been dedicated to the study and practice of the Buddha's teachings for the past 30 years, and is inspired by the Thai Forest Tradition. He is a graduate of the Spirit Rock Dedicated Practitioners Program and the Community Dharma Leader Program. Last year Brock spent a month in Thailand staying at a Thai forest monastery in the Ajahn Chah lineage and travelled to India to visit the Buddhist holy sites.

Thank you,

Rhonda Duncan (Registrar)
