Hearthside Invites You to a Classic Movie Event on Saturday, July 18th

The holiday season is in full swing at Hearthside in its first of three offerings of classic movies shown in an outdoor cinema setting this summer. Santa Claus is the feature in the 1947 Academy Award winning movie "Miracle on 34th Street."  This timeless tale remains one of the most popular and best-loved holiday films of all time, enjoyed by all ages and sure to bring a smile to your face.

Hearthside is holding outdoor events this summer as a way of offering a safe and different way for families to enjoy the museum's programs in the fresh air and with ample space to provide distance.  The selection of two classic family movies tie in to the different eras that are featured in our 'Toys from the Attic' exhibit currently on display. The final movie, "Meet Me in St.Louis" will be a fundraiser on Aug. 22.

With a limited capacity of 50 and an expansive lawn to spread out under the stars, families can remain distant from others at tables set up on the grounds, or they can bring their own blankets and chairs for a pleasant summer evening activity.

Tickets are $10 each or a family of 4 for $25, which includes complimentary popcorn.
Beverages will be available for purchase. Each child will also leave with a surprise
they might have received in their Christmas stocking during the 1950s.  Advance
 registration and ticket purchase only.

The event begins at 8:00 p.m. and is held at Hearthside, 677 Great Road, Lincoln.  There is a rain date of Sunday, July 19th.  Following CDC and State of RI recommendations for the safety of our guests and volunteers, 6-ft distancing and wearing of face coverings is required for everyone.  Guests must also review the COVID questionnaire prior to admission.
