John P. Janes, CLP, CSP, of Caterpillar, Inc. will discuss the total cost of ownership of equipment. He will talk about how safety directly relates to those numbers, along with return on investment, maintenance costs and downtime for your business.

About our Speaker: John Janes is a manager in Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products Division with responsibilities for industry alignment to the Landscaping, Snow Removal, Concrete and Composting Industries. He isalso responsible for total cost of ownership and cost of safetyanalyses. He is Landscape Industry Certified, a Certified Snow Professional and an Advanced Snow Manager. Prior to his current position, John worked in sales and marketing in Caterpillar Inc., most recently as the Industry Representative for the State of Florida and as a National Account Manager. John holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Carolina State University and Duke University in engineering and business and is the assignee on three patents through the US Patent and Trademark Office. He also served in the US Army in Afghanistan and Iraq.
