Speaker Bio:
After obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice Science from ISU in 1990, Jack McQueen worked from 1990 to 1994 as an Intelligence Analyst supporting the Illinois State Police - Task Force 6, a three county drug unit. In 1994, he took a position with Bloomington PD as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst assigned to the criminal investigations division. He is currently the group supervisor of the Crime and Intelligence Analysis Unit at BPD.
His work at Bloomington Police Department entails monitoring active criminal groups operating in their region and includes identifying groups operating at the local, state, and national levels. Much of his work is focused on the analysis of the intelligence (information about people) as well as crime data (information produced from police reports). The majority of research, information collection, analysis and data dissemination is done via computer, cell phone, mobile computer, IP cameras, and other specialized data gathering hardware/software.
