ANPD Washington NPD of the Year Award Nomination 

The ANPD WASHINGTON NPD of the Year Award is given to certified NPD Specialists in recognition of those whose contributions and accomplishments have had an extraordinary influence within Nursing Professional Development (NPD) in Washington.

The nomination should attest to the candidate’s contributions to NPD, which includes the following:

• Incorporates creativity to engage learners in a positive learning environment
• Demonstrates leadership in the field (practice and learning environments, the NPD specialty, and/or nursing and healthcare)
• Scans the environment for new trends and issues; leads and facilitates change
• Advances the profession and the specialty through mentoring and the professional development of others
• Supports the transition of nurses and other healthcare team members across learning and practice environments
• Advances the nursing profession and NPD specialty through scholarly activity (i.e. publication, presentation, poster development)
• Demonstrates value of NPD to the organization (through return on investment, enhanced care quality, and/or improved patient or staff outcomes)
• Demonstrates energy, excitement, and a passion for quality work

Nominations are due by March 31, 2020. 

Winners will be announced in May, 2020.
