Keynote Speaker:
Monique Ellsworth
CEO, Second Harvest of the Big Bend

Monique Ellsworth is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Second Harvest of the Big Bend, the Feeding America member food bank serving 16 counties in North Florida. Monique has been actively engaged in Tallahassee’s social service community since 2011, passionately working on poverty-related social issues. Before beginning her role as CEO of Second Harvest in 2019, Monique served as Executive Director of CESC, a nonprofit organization that operated a homeless shelter, two housing programs, and a healthcare and dental clinic–all of which provide care for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and economic hardship in Tallahassee.

Presentation:
How to help create a hunger-free Big Bend

Join us to learn more about the region’s primary source of charitable food; Second Harvest acts as a storage and distribution depot for over 149 smaller frontline agency partners, including emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes, homes for the mentally disabled, and domestic violence shelters. Their 16-county service area includes Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla, Columbia, Dixie, Hamilton, Lafayette, and Suwanee. Here, you will learn how to help create A hunger-free Big Bend for your communities.
