Coming Together Virginia (formerly Coming To The Table-RVA) celebrates June starting with Juneteenth, but ends by celebrating inclusivity and making room at the table. In that spirit we will be watching "Philadelphia" (1993). Although AIDS was present in New York in low numbers in the 1970s, it exploded onto the world stage in 1981. The way that the CDC decided to describe it colored the way many people approached the illness and its victims. Do we all make room at our table for everyone?
