Orphan Sunday 

Ophan Sunday is an opportunity to be an advocate for orphans around the world and for churches to celebrate the heart of God for orphans. The idea of a Sunday for orphans started in a small church in the country of Zambia in Africa, and it has now spread to an awakening of churches throughout the world.

For many of you, the plight of the orphans is all around you, that it is literally at the entrance to your home. For others, it is far away and seems even further because of hectic schedules. In the Scriptures, God commands us to care for those who do not have families. "Orphan Sunday" or a Sunday for orphans is a simple way to respond to this commandment of God and to help others do the same.
