Jubilee Anniversary Mass and Reception

Dear Fathers,

Once again we are commemorating those married couples who have had the courage to withstand the tide of the culture today.  As Pope Francis encourages, "Today, there are those who say that marriage is out of fashion. [...] They say that it is not worth making a life-long commitment, making a definitive decision, 'for-ever', because we do not know what tomorrow will bring.  I ask you, instead, to be rovolutionaries, I ask you to swim against the tide [...]" (Address to the World Youth Day Volunteers)

On October 27, 2013 the Diocese of Toledo will commemorate couples celebrating 25, 40, 50, 60, and 60+ years of marriage.  Bishop Blair will preside at the Mass, which will take place at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral.  Mass will begin at 3:00pm. 

We would like to invite priests of the diocese to concelebrate the liturgy with His Excellency.  If you are available and would like to participate in this celebration, please RSVP by clicking "Register Now!" below. 

Concelebrating Priests should arrive at the Cathedral by 2:30 pm.  Both the priests and the assisting deacons are asked to bring an alb and a white stole.  A reception in the Cathedral School gymnasium will immediately follow Mass.

Organization and program vendors will be present to aid you in learning about Marriage & Family resources available for your parish.
