Small Business Saturday Inspire Series:

How to Make the Right First Impression

We all know first impressions count, right?

Here’s a curious fact though. Business-owners often create professional, highly-credible, printed and online content only to add an ‘it’ll do” personal profile photos of themselves and their team. Ones that undermine and are out-of-kilter with the distinguishing story, founding values, ethos and brand.

And yes, people do notice.

While the concept of 'first impressions' isn’t new, the explosion in business networking sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram reveal how many individuals don’t realise that poor images undermine the ability to build trust and connect with potential clients and influencers.

Yes, there are some engaging business profile photos around. However, many are not communicating a positive first impression, and unwittingly to their business detriment.

In this fun, interactive and practical session, we use real-world examples and top tips to:

  • Overcome this business-limiting blind spot
  • Help sharpen those first impressions to engage new prospects and generate business connections for growth

NB – To get the most out of this workshop, please bring your business website/ social media profile photo

The event is free for small businesses to attend. It will be live streamed on Periscope with real time Twitter Q&A during the talk, so even if you are not in the room you can still get involved. @SmallBizSatUK  for updates.

**Please note that you do not need to reserve a ticket to watch the event live through our digital channels. Event registration is for attendees only**
