Kandy & Iain

Vocalist Kandy was born in Panama, raised just outside of NYC, and currently resides on Siesta Key. Kandy brings a unique Latin metro-bohemian fusion to her vocal performances that combine exceptional vocal technique with a rare ability to present the story within the song.

Guitarist Iain was born in England, but now calls America home. A classically-trained guitarist, his background is in the British folk scene, combined with a lifelong dedication to the blues, gospel, and soul.

Both Kandy and Iain come with years of experience in the music industry.

Kandy has performed in all size venues from the local coffee house/ bar to 5,000 seat auditoriums. Kandy has shared a stage with Randy Travis as one of the two musical guests booked to perform at an industry awards ceremony in Las Vegas honoring John Travolta, Jon Voight, and Salma Hayek. Soon after, Kandy co-starred with Alan Thicke and Rene Liu in X-Roads; a movie filmed and released in China with screenings in the U.S. and the Far East. Kandy also wrote and performed three songs which were featured throughout the film and toured all over China, making stops in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing performing her songs to thousands in support of the movie.

Iain has played at festivals in Britain, France and Switzerland, entertaining crowds of up to 10,000 as the opening act for artists such as KT Tunstall, Jimmy Cliff, and Bill Wyman, in addition to working on recordings play-listed on national UK radio.

Today, Kandy & Iain have formed a powerful musical partnership focused on bringing authenticity back to music. Familiar songs, and some not so familiar, are made new, with every note and melody dissected and reinterpreted so that the feeling of the song is brought front and center: a deliberate alternative to electronic gimmicks and studio wizardry, with performances based around what can be achieved by a guitar and a voice…

Together, Kandy & Iain create a vibe and a sound all their own.
