Child care is available for Morning Sessions.

We are happy to provide quality child care for the morning sessions.  In order to make it affordable for every woman to come, we ask that everyone, who is able, give a love gift to help cover the expense of the workers caring for the children and the hospitality supplies.   A suggested amount is $5/week (11 weeks = $55).  You may include this in your check or use the collection baskets in your class.  Homeschooled children will be provided with a classroom monitor.  We request that all children six months of age and older be placed in our child care.

Stories & Prayers of Jesus:  Letting them Unfold

Cathy Morgan

Jesus often wrapped his deepest truths in stories so that the truth could be received to, hopefully, unfold, grow and reproduce in his listeners. Tell it Slant is taken from a line of a poem by Emily Dickinson, a reminder that the way we speak the truth is as important as the truth itself. The first part of the book reveals Jesus’ intimate means of communication in all manner of contexts. The second part turns from the parables to reflect on Jesus’ communion with his Father in prayer. The level of the course is mid to advanced (depending on the time you have to give it), though the parables and prayers would appeal to anyone. Homework will vary according to interest and desire to research.

Return to the Garden

Embracing God's Design for Sexuality

From beginning to end, the Bible is about a divine romance.  We, as women, are designer goods, designed, cherished and pursued by God. But very often from society and even within the church, women receive a much different message about their femininity and sexuality. This interactive Bible study will look at the beauty and holiness of our sexuality and help us protect our hearts and minds from cultural temptations and influences that have begun to shape our view of feminine sexuality, often so subtly that it goes unnoticed. The straightforward lessons will focus on love, sex and intimacy within marriage, purity, modesty, and dynamics of interpersonal relationships between men and women. These timely messages are for women, whether married or single, mother or daughter. Class will include a combination of video and discussion.

Stuck

So many of us live stuck.  Stuck trying to seem perfect.  Stuck in sadness.  Stuck feeling numb.  Stuck pursuing more stuff to make us happy.  Stuck in something we can't even name.  These stuck places often go unattended inside of us and they are shaping our lives more than we would like to think.  GOD has a plan for these spaces inside of us, the places we feel broken, but we have to go to Him.  Stuck is a journey through Scripture to take an honest look at ourselves, leading us to God who has a plan to restore it, to restore us.

Breathe...Making Room For Sabbath

Do you need some breathing room??

With a jam-packed life, what’s missing is space – space for God to speak, room for you to hear. It’s time to set aside the activities and busyness that swallows up rest and peace. It’s time for us to breathe and build margin into our lives for God.
This 5-week study includes a DVD teaching and a Bible study journal. The study will help us see that God created Sabbath in the very beginning when he created the world. We’ll discover that we may be enslaved by GOOD things that control us and we are unaware of the entrapment. We’ll discover that Sabbath is so much more than what man has made it – and that God has so much more in mind for each of us. Priscilla states that “God always and eternally intended the Sabbath to be a lifestyle – an attitude, a perspective, an orientation for living that enables us to govern our lives and steer clear of bondage.” Join Pricilla and discover Sabbath margin – the boundary God enables us to put around things we enjoy so that we never become slaves again.
To receive the most out of this study, a minimum of an hour daily for thought, prayer and journal entry is recommended.

Deuteronomy

Blessing or Cursing?  Life or Death?  You Choose.

Deuteronomy, the fifth and final book of the Pentateuch, was written to prepare a new generation of the Lord's chosen people to be his kingdom representatives in the land He had promised them hundreds of years earlier. Now, after forty years in the wilderness, they are ready to enter the land of promise. Through Moses, God tells His children how to live in that land. Discover what God expected back then, and what He still expects now, and how we should live as His children in the world today.  8 lessons

2 Peter

How to Grow in Grace Amid False Teachings

Many worldviews, religious perspectives and false teachings bombard us every day. The Church is threatened without and within by secularism, pluralism, and pragmatism to name a few. Peter urges us to remember and call to mind the truth of God’s Word which will keep us from falling. The instruction Peter gives is to be diligent to be “found by Him without spot or blemish” and uncompromising in our faith. A much needed study for the modern-day Church.

One Month To Live

Thirty Days to a No-Regrets Life

What would you do if you found out you only had one month to live? Most of us would live differently for those thirty days.  We would be more authentic about who we are and more deliberate about how we spend our time.  In this study, One Month To Live, we are going to answer the question: what keeps us from living this way now?  In learning how to live a life of no regrets, we are going to sharpen our focus on what is really important in life.  This six- week study will include a 20-minute video each week along with class discussion. Thought- provoking daily home work assignments require one to two hours per week.
