SEO Tips and Tricks (Online)

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is one of the chief ways to build an audience and gain customers today. But what does the average website owner really need to know about SEO? Whether you pay someone or plan to do it yourself, you need to know enough to ensure that your business succeeds.

This workshop will help you to:

  • Demystify the most common SEO terms so that you can market more effectively.
  • Construct an SEO strategy that makes your online presence more competitive.
  • Perform tactical SEO on your own website so it attracts more traffic.
  • Avoid dirty “black hat” SEO tricks so your site doesn’t get penalized by Google and lose ranking.
  • Measure the progress of your SEO efforts so you can keep improving your results.

 

Who this workshop is for:

This workshop is designed for website owners who already have a site launched and want to increase their understanding of search engine optimization (SEO). Sections of the workshop specifically deal with WordPress websites, although those with other platforms can still benefit from participating.

Tim Smith

Tim Smith is a web designer and marketing consultant who helps business owners attract and convert more customers. With a career spanning over 35 years, he has served in a variety of roles in media, advertising agencies and corporate marketing.

In 2004, he founded New Paradigm Marketing Group. New Paradigm Marketing’s mission is to “Make small business look big online.”  Tim’s team specializes in website development and digital marketing, including search engine optimization (SEO). He is also a content specialist who has contributed to a wide variety of websites and marketing collateral pieces. The team is also a major leading provider locally for website maintenance services to keep sites safe, healthy and performing well.

Tim has won numerous awards for his work in national and regional competition, and he earned his Certified Marketing Executive (C.M.E.) designation in 2000. He has been a featured presenter on various marketing topics at the local, state and national level. He has presented workshops on websites and other aspects of marketing for the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, North Coast SCORE, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and various other business organizations.
