WHO should attend?

Main summit day: includes information designed for educators, industry, organized labor, and students who are engaged in creating a workforce that is skilled, sustainable and in-demand.
Day two:  all those involved in energy infrastructure, including waterways and ports,  in the Pacific Northwest - especially design and construction engineers, energy transmission and utility managers, supply chain/logistics managers, educators, organized labor, industry, emergency management and other workforce partners.

8 – 8:30 am: Check-in, breakfast and vendor pavilion open  

Keynote: The Stand-Up Economist: Carbon and the Economy, by Yoram Bauman, PhD.

Plenary sessions: Industry experts – representing energy, construction, marine and advanced manufacturing, and homeland security-emergency management – will respond to implications of climate change, carbon solutions and workforce impacts.

The day will include breakout, wrap-up and networking sessions.

6 – 8 pm: Signature Crab Feed and Scholarship Auction (registration required)

Second day: June 19, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Cascadia Region Earthquake Readiness Workshop

8:30 - 9:15 am: Check-in, breakfast and vendor pavilion open.

Scientists are telling us to brace for the big one. A catastrophic earthquake of magnitude 9.0 or a series of earthquakes ranging from 8.0 to 9.0 will hit the Pacific Northwest. It’s not a question of if this will occur, but WHEN.
