Understanding Comprehensive Supports for the Foster Care Triad: Children, Parents and Providers

"Through Their Eyes"

Join us as we honor National Foster Care Awareness Month with a gathering of community stakeholders who have experienced foster care and adoption.

A panel of child welfare leaders and former foster care youth will explore the critical components of support for foster parents, foster youth, and birth families. We will also discuss policies that  effect outcomes for the foster care triad, as well as strategies to influence future change in the system of care. The symposium will end with opportunity for an open forum.

Invited guests:

  • Lisa Guillette, Executive Director, Foster Forward
  • Two members from The Voice - Youth Leadership Training & Empowerment Board

  • A foster parent with Child & Family Foster Care
