Camp LIGHT First Annual Car Show
Join us for the first annual Camp LIGHT car show, on Saturday, April 30 2016 from 4pm-8pm! All makes and models, from antique to modern are welcome. "Drive In" style movie on the big screen will be held after the show from 8:30pm until 10pm! Lots of fun for the whole family! Enjoy fabulous cars, carnival games, food, and other entertainment, all for a great charity! Admission to see the show is just $5.00 per car load. Bring some lawn chairs if you plan on staying for the movie!
The event will be held at Creative Works Farm, located just north of Waynesboro, Va off of 340N. Our road in from the gate is gravel, and we do have ample parking for car trailers. If you plan on entering your vehicle, you will need to complete registration online. Vehicle registration is $25 per entry. We will have onsite registration from 3pm until 4:30pm on the day of the event. The main activities will be held in and around Adaville, a replica 50's town built as an activity and special event area. The 50's town will be a great backdrop for the show! Registrants have the option of raising additional money for camp with the highest fund raisers earning special parking in the town. Camp LIGHT is a 501-c(3), so additional pledges are tax deductible! It's not only a great way to showcase your vehicle, but to show your support of Camp LIGHT. Several special awards will be given, with the top awards being a Kid's Choice Award and top fundraiser award.
Camp LIGHT is a summer camp for children ages 6-17 with medical, physical, and behavioral needs, as well as at risk youth. Learn more about Camp LIGHT by visiting www.campLIGHT.org.
This is a family friendly event. No smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco products. No drinking, drugs, weapons allowed. We will have a special smoking section away from the main event area.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
In exchange for participation in the Camp LIGHT Car Show ("Event") held at Creative Works Farm ("CWF"), of 107 Creative Works Lane, Waynesboro, VA, and/or use of the property, facilities and services of CWF on Saturday, April 30, 2016. I agree to the following:
1. I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by CWF, or the employees, representatives or agents of CWF.
2. I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and (if applicable) my family members, and further release and discharge CWF for injury, loss or damage arising out of my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of CWF, whether caused by the fault of myself, my family, CWF or other third parties. I will pay my own medical emergency expenses and all subsequent medical expenses in the event of any illness, accident, or injury in connection with the Event. I waive my insurers’ right to make a claim against the Released Parties based on insurance payments made to me or on my behalf for any reason.
3. I agree to indemnify and defend CWF against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of CWF.
4. I agree to pay for all damages to the facilities of CWF caused by my or my family's negligent, reckless, or willful actions. I will not hold CWF, organizers or representatives of the Camp LIGHT Car Show responsible for any personal damage that may be caused to my property while at the event.
5. Medical Treatment: Participant agrees to allow medical treatment if necessary during the event if participant is unable to communicate due to medical emergency. Participant does hereby release and forever discharge CWF and any of its affiliates, from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with the Participant’s Activities with the Event.
6. Photograph and Media Release: The Participant does hereby grant and convey unto CWF all rights, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by CWF during the event, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
I understand, have considered and evaluated the nature, scope, and extent of the risks involved, and I voluntarily and freely choose to assume these risks.
