TAP Workshop: Start to Grow Your Seeds

Please join the Tribal Alliance for Pollinators on February 7th for a Start to Grow Your Seeds native plant workshop! We will present an overview of the process of starting native plants from seed, followed by hands-on training. Attendees will be able to take home native plant seeds and starter supply kits to use at their own tribal sites.

• Learn how to get started producing native plants, plus get tips from the experts on how to maximize your success as a beginner.
• Find out how (and why) native plant seeds need to go into a cold, moist stratification process before germinating. 
• Discover programs from NRCS, TAP and other organizations that can help you with  equipment, supplies and technical support.
• Get to know the different low-cost options for setting up a hoop house, greenhouse or high tunnel structure.
  
• Hands-on training with the experts. Experienced pros will guide you as you get hands-on practice with putting seeds into stratification, setting up germination trays and transplanting seedlings. 

BONUS -- you will get to take prepared seeds and supplies home with you to start growing native plants on your own tribal lands!
