Internet Marketing for Small Business

"Building an Internet Presence that Works"

Workshop #3 of 7:

Making Content Marketing Work

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm | check-in starts at 5:30 pm

Greenwich Library

101 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT  06830

Content Marketing is a relatively new technique brought about by the confluence of opportunities that internet marketing offers.  Instead of engaging in blatant self-promotion, many businesses are communicating with customers and prospects by creating and distributing relevant and valuable content - documents, videos, games, pictures, sounds, softeware and more - which changes or enhances the relationship with their target market.  Put another way, instead of trying to sell you stuff, content marketing recognize that creating and circulating content of value creates relationships, fulfills social media, and enhances search results and therefore traffic and leads.

This workshop will help you evaluate your existing content and craft meaningful new content, with an emphasis on powerful business writing.  We will explore the varieties of media and look at examples.

Our Speakers:

Deirdre Silberstein is the President of Silberstein & Associates LLC, a business writing and publishing consulting firm.  Deirdre helps companies, professional services firms, and entrepreneurs grow their businesses through publishing materials that demonstrate, educate, and feature their capabilities, knowledge, and areas of specialization.

Deirdre has more than 30 years of experience in publishing and communications industries.  She established and ran a publishing and communications program for a global professional services firm and went on to develop a global knowledge management system.  Deirdre received a BA in History (with honors) from Stanford University and an MBA in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School.
